Due to weather on 4/22 we have decided to reschedule this to 5/6 instead.

Earth Day Clean Up

at Bluff Lake Nature Center, along Sand Creek

Located next to the Central Park neighborhood, Bluff Lake Nature Center is an urban wildlife refuge and outdoor classroom. They are the largest open space managed as native habitat in Denver, and rely solely on community support. Join us this Earth Day (April 22) to give back to our valuable natural resources!

Sand Creek flows through Bluff Lake, and brings with it trash and other debris that blow in from the neighborhoods and other developed areas. This trash can be detrimental to wildlife health, water, and soil quality as well as dangerous to students accessing the water for water testing. Help us keep our ecosystems healthy and safe with trash cleanup along the creek banks. While walking along the creek looking for, and disposing of, trash and other debris, enjoy the park and maybe see some wildlife too!

Materials such as trash grabbers, trash bags, and gloves will be provided.
